Research Interests

Image and Video Processing
Though professional artists can quickly sketch up realistic images and animations, such ability for most of ordinary people remains elusive. We build on image search and understanding algorithms to develop tools to facilitate ordinary people to create high quality images and animations.

3D Modeling

We develop algorithms and systems to automate the creation of 3D models from 2D images. Along this line, we build systems for structure-from-motion, object modeling and appearance modeling.
